Learn How To Set Your Mind Free:
Last month my mentor Sandi Krakowski lead us on a training that dove deep into mindset with the intention teaching us how to set our minds free. She discussed what a poverty mindset is, how to move beyond limited thinking, how we are being programmed by the lies of our culture and she touched on beliefs about money. This was not your typical business training, but it contained all the elements that would make an entrepreneur great. When you learn how to set your mind free, you remove the obstacles that tend to keep you small.
Mindset contributes to everything you do in life. Your relationships, your job, your family, your health, creating income and your overall happiness and well being are all a result of mindset. If you are burdened by different thoughts of overwhelm, lack, not enough and scarcity, it’s going to be challenging for you to perform at your best.
Before you can become successful in any endeavor, you must learn how to set your mind free from all of the noise and pollution that runs rampant in society. Social media, the news, your co-workers and even your family and friends can unintentionally clutter your thoughts. For that reason you would hope those closest to you have your best interests at heart but, you have to make sure you are ready to handle the unexpected. How you react can be difference between success and failure.
3 Steps For A Better Mindset
First, the storms in your life are a set up for strength. You can’t have the good without experiencing the bad. Contrast in life is really working for us and not against us. It allows you to see there’s a difference and it supports you in refocusing your energy and efforts in the right direction. If you are facing a storm in your own life, ask yourself what lesson can you learn?
Second, you get to let your messes be the messages in life. How many times in your life have you looked for a way to hide a mistake or cover up a failure? You definitely don’t want to look stupid because then you might wonder what others are saying about you. There is such a peace in letting go of what you think has to be perfect and live in the moment as it unfolds. Whether or not you look cool doesn’t matter, what mattes is that you are real and relatable to everyone. Let mistakes be your guide to learning and as a result, you can teach others along the way how to respond.
Third, ask for forgiveness from judgement against those who have more power and influence. Jealousy is such a debilitating illness and consequently it ruins your chances of success. No one is immune from these thoughts. In fact, the easier it is for you to judge others, the more likely it is that you have held onto these thoughts for quite some time. The only way you can criticize someone else is because you can recognize it in yourself. This might be hard for you to swallow but, maybe by acknowledging it instead of rejecting the idea, you can set yourself free. Judgement is ultimately against yourself, not anyone else.
Let Go Of Your Guilt
Guilt is the ball and chain that keeps you stuck and it won’t allow you to move ahead. When you can learn to forgive, you learn how to set your mind free and you can finally move on. For example, maybe you or someone you know had a significant other cheat in the past. Because of the pain, hurt and trust issues, most of your relationships struggle or fail. You have a hard time connecting to people and feeling comfortable enough to trust.
If you are ever going to move forward, you get to forgive this person and let it go. The forgiveness isn’t for them, it’s for you. They obviously aren’t affected by the way you feel because they probably don’t even know. Living in the past hurt only prevents the present and future good from becoming available to you. The moment you forgive and let go, the weight will be lifted and your life will return to a potential moment of bliss around every corner.
Forgiveness Is The New Happiness
Now that you understand forgiveness is more personal that it is general, you should be empowered to experience life in more abundance. You can walk with your shoulders back, chin up high and your mind as free as a child running around the playground. Life will take on more positive energy and you will begin to attract more positive people and situations into your life. Someone may try to hurt you again but, you don’t have to let it take hold of your life. Be the example and role model people look up to and want to be like. Your attitude alone can change the heart of another human being in close proximity without you even knowing it.
