Hormone Optimization - Testosterone
Hormone Optimization – Testosterone
Testosterone is the male dominant hormone responsible for fat loss, lean muscle tissue and over all good health. Women have testosterone too. There’s a ton of debate over how low-T levels affect your body. Some believe it’s the holy grail of youth while others believe it doesn’t have as much of an impact. Both could be right depending on the person.
Everybody is different and has a different body chemistry and make up. Since hormones are very important for your health and productivity, you should make it a point to pay attention. Here are three simple ideas on how to maximize natural testosterone production in your body while staying healthy.
First, you need to make sure you eat healthy fats like omega 3, 6, and 9. You want to avoid and stay away from hydrogenated fats as much as possible. With the advent of the keto diet, many people were mis-lead that any fat can be good. Hydrogenated fats are very damaging to your body and the body’s nervous system. More about that here.
Second, try to eat organic whenever possible. The main reason is to avoid the chemicals and pesticides that can harm your hpa-axis. This is basically how your body functions to balance hormone production and operation. Even the anti-biotics and steroids fed to the animals in certain meats you may eat can cause harm over the long term. Organic food isn’t just a fad, it’s a precaution that should be met if possible. If you can’t afford organic, non-GMO is a good choice. So is washing your fruits and vegetables.
Third, regular exercise should be a must in your weekly routine. You may not have the time to work out every day but, you need to stay physically active. You want to be active for your career, your family and for your long-term health and wellness. People can get in the trap of, “I’ll do it when I have time.” Before you know it, you’re old, out of shape and suffering from multiple health problems.
These issues can creep up on you fast. Unless you plan to keep your body in good working condition, it’s very simple to fall into a damaging routine. These may sound like basic ideas but, they lay the foundation to keep you healthy and optimize hormone levels. Once you get past a certain point, it’s much more difficult to build back up to full health. Staying ahead of the game will keep you in it for much longer.
